ORIGIN : Preamp Selector
PROBLEM : You want to switch between two
different preamps. This can be confusing, usually ties up two loops of your
expensive MIDI switcher, and eliminating ground loops can be a nightmare.
SOLUTION : the ORIGIN, designed to switch
between preamps (or other low impedance sources), with no noise, no timbral
change, no ground loops, and no hassles.
This is not a simple A/B box run backwards. The Origin switches both the
signal path and the ground path, eliminating potential ground loops and
leaving your MIDI switcher loops free for other uses.
To do this, the Origin uses the Soft Switching circuit by Claus
Jensen. The Soft Switching totally eliminates switching noise without
the series impedance load caused by typical isolation circuits.
Use with any normally open latching foot switch or MIDI-controlled switching
device and switch between preamps easily and reliably with no noise. The
Origin will work with any low impedance devices at consumer to pro level.
Note: do not use the Origin on speaker levels, as damage to the Origin and
to your amps is likely.
